Fadia Elgharib

Fadia, an Egyptian by birth, started her career as a Banking and Finance Lawyer, and shortly after decided to explore an unfamiliar route in her career as she moved to work on the intersection of digital technologies and societies.

Fadia started with Global Innovation Gathering Network in 2018 and has moved through the organization taking on various roles. With a Master in Arts specializing in the role of digitalization on societies, Fadia started as a Project Coordinator of Careables.org. Shortly after, she settled in her current role as Community Manager of GIG. One main element was her enthusiasm and passion for working closely with people worldwide and to empower grass root communities to exchange knowledge openly online and offline.

In her current role, Fadia curates the makerspace stage at re:publica, a festival on digital societies, where speakers and practitioners teach hands-on knowledge workshops on their innovations. Fadia facilitates the online community of GIG through online meetups and the creation of digital spaces for personal and professional exchanges.
